tcktcktck-logoTck, Tck , Tck - It's time to Seal the Deal

After the launch of the United Nations Seal the Deal campaign on 5 June, another major campaign was launched this week at the International Advertisers Festival in Cannes on 25 June.

The camapoign launched by former Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Live Aid founder Bob Geldorf is called Tck, tck, tck - symbolizing how time is running out for climate justice. Soon, as part of the campaign, you'll be seeing people wearing Tck, Tck, Tck dog-tags, and, a new song and video clip soon to hit the waves.

This cool campaign, a perfect complement to our more sober Seal the Deal campaign was created by the advertising group Euro RSCG. Whilst reading material about the launch I was truck by a phrase from Bob Geldorf to the major advertising companies around the world:

"You are creatively some of the most intelligent people on the planet, when you combine what you do with what you are, you are potentially the most powerful political tool there is". I couldn't agree more. Actually we at UNRIC have been thinking exactly along the same lines: "Selling" our causes through intelligent creative advertising.

Last but not least, our Website CoolPlanet2009, the European arm of Seal the Deal is proud to announce that it has former UN Secretayi-General Kofi Annan as its newest CoolFriend.

Happy summer and see you in September.
