Nadia El Bennich was an intern at UNRIC in 2007 and went on to work at the European Parliament in Brussels.
At UNRIC Nadia worked as the Director's intern, particularly on the inception of this magazine and its section on EU affairs. She looks back on working closely with interns from all over the world fondly. As a Brussels-based assistant to a Member of the European Parliament, Nadia enjoys the responsibility and diversity that comes with working so closely with an MEP. She co-ordinates her MEP's various committees and political activities and works closely with stagiaires and fellow assistants.
Nadia hopes to work for the United Nations again in the future and being the talented linguist that she is, speaking French, German and English (and Spanish, Italian and Arabic as well but not with such fluency), the world is truly her oyster.

Where are they now?

F.U.N was born when a friend asked how he can help the United Nations? "What does the UN need most" he asked? Friends are what the UN needs most, was our answer, and it just happens to spell F.U.N.
